For early levels, resist the urge to spam bombs as soon as you spawn; first clear nearby soft obstacles to collect at least 1 bomb count upgrade and 1 blast range upgrade before moving deeper into the map. Prioritize speed boot power-ups above all others in the first 3 levels, as higher movement speed lets you escape unexpected enemy advances and your own bomb blasts far more easily. Avoid stacking more than 5 blast range upgrades, as overly large explosions will leave you with very few safe spots to hide on smaller maps, and limit your active bomb count to 3 or 4 to avoid blocking your own escape routes.
