Most basic ghosts follow fixed, looping routes around each level, so take 10 to 15 seconds at the start of each new level to observe their patterns before moving, to avoid running straight into a wandering foe. Second, save your power-ups for high-risk areas: each glowing ghost repellent you pick up grants you 5 seconds of invulnerability, during which you can pass through enemies and even knock them out for extra points. The best times to use these are when you’re navigating the narrow attic corridors full of fast-moving poltergeists, or when you’re trying to grab the rare golden treasure chest that spawns in the center of each level 90 seconds after the level starts, which is always surrounded by 4 or more enemies.
