Mastering Dr. Micro’s controls and level mechanics is key to beating all 7 levels and claiming a spot on the high score leaderboard. First, familiarize yourself with the core controls: use the 8-way joystick to move Dr. Micro across the screen, the A button to fire your default antibiotic projectile, and the B button to deploy your limited-use emergency disinfectant spray, which clears all on-screen enemies instantly. For the first two levels (Oral Cavity and Esophagus), prioritize collecting red penicillin power-ups whenever they spawn: these upgrade your projectiles to deal 3x regular damage and pierce through up to 3 enemies at once, making quick work of swarms of cavity bacteria. Avoid bumping into white roaming white blood cells at all costs: they are friendly to the patient, but will recognize you as a foreign object and drain 50% of your health bar on contact, with no way to damage them back. When you reach the third Stomach level, watch the rising acid meter at the bottom of the screen carefully. Acid levels rise every 20 seconds, and any contact with the acid will drain your health rapidly. A neon orange anti-acid buff spawns every 30 seconds on a random platform: grab it immediately to get 20 seconds of acid immunity, and try to stay on the highest available platforms while you wait for it to respawn. For boss fights, the first boss (Giant Cavity Bacteria) has a clear weak point: the glowing red pustule on its forehead. Ignore its roaming tooth minions and focus all fire on the pustule, and you can take it down in 12 regular shots or 4 penicillin shots. For the final Influenza Virus boss, save at least 2 disinfectant sprays and 1 purple serum invincibility buff for the fight. When it fires tracking virus projectiles, lure them into the side walls of the screen to make them explode, and when it activates its full-screen laser attack, tuck yourself into the two small recessed platforms at the very bottom of the screen to avoid taking damage.
