Double Dragon (World set 2)

Mastering Double Dragon (World Set 2) is easy to learn but hard to perfect, starting with its core control scheme: use the 8-way joystick for movement, with two dedicated buttons for punch and jump. Combine inputs to unlock powerful combo moves: press jump and punch at the same time for a flying kick that can knock down multiple grouped enemies, tap forward twice quickly then punch for a dashing strike that breaks through enemy blocks, and walk into a staggered enemy to grab them, letting you land three quick punches before throwing them across the screen for area damage. For early stage runs, prioritize crowd control above all else: never let enemies surround you from both sides, and always pull back to a narrow part of the screen to force all enemies to approach from one direction. Pick up every weapon you find: a single baseball bat can take down 3 to 4 enemies before breaking, and knives deal one-hit stuns that let you follow up with heavy damage. When facing the giant boss Abobo, never attack him from the front, as his heavy punch will knock off half your health in one hit; instead, circle behind him and use repeated flying kicks to exploit his slow turn speed, repeating the pattern until he falls. In the second stage’s factory area, use the explosive oil drums scattered across the map to take out grouped enemies in one hit, and watch for enemies spawning out of overhead air vents to avoid surprise attacks. If you’re playing in co-op mode, split your coverage to cover left and right sides of the screen, and avoid swinging weapons when your partner is nearby—while World Set 2 reduces friendly fire damage, it still can knock out your partner’s health if you’re careless. In the third stage’s cliffside area, prioritize throwing enemies off the edge for instant kills, which saves both health and time for the final boss fight. When facing Willy, the final boss with a handgun, never run straight at him, as his shots deal massive damage; instead, zig-zag left and right
