Command War - Super Special Battle War Game (Ver 0.0J) (Prototype) [Prototype]

Command War - Super Special Battle War Game (Ver 0.0J) (Prototype) is an extremely rare, unreleased arcade tactical action title developed by Capcom and slated for commercial launch in 1993, before being scrapped late in the development cycle for unannounced reasons. The only surviving Japanese 0.0J build was recovered from a defunct Osaka arcade development warehouse in 2012, making it one of the most coveted collectibles for retro arcade preservationists and prototype enthusiasts worldwide. Unlike traditional arcade side-scrollers or fighting games that dominated 1990s arcade cabinets, Command War blends real-time tactical unit deployment with fast-paced, top-down arcade action, letting players lead an elite special operations squad through 12 unfinished mission scenarios, ranging from urban hostage rescue to mountainous enemy base infiltration. This early prototype features fully functional core gameplay, 4 unique selectable squad leaders (each with specialized weapon loadouts inclu

Game Guide

If you are playing Command War - Super Special Battle War Game (Ver 0.0J) (Prototype) for the first time, start by mastering its unique arcade control scheme: use the 8-way joystick to move your selected squad leader, the A button to fire your primary weapon, B to deploy a support unit from your reserve pool, and C to cycle between active squad members in solo play. We recommend new players select the support medic as their starting squad leader first: their passive healing aura keeps all deployed friendly units alive 30% longer than any other leader, making it far easier to clear the first three tutorial missions without exhausting your limited reserve unit pool. To unlock the hidden debug menu that grants access to all 12 scrapped missions instantly, input the following button combination on the title screen: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start. This code also unlocks 99 reserve units and unlimited secondary weapon ammo, perfect for exploring all cut content in the prototype without difficulty walls. When facing armored enemy tanks in missions 4 and 7, always deploy rocket launcher support units first: regular small arms fire deals less than 5% damage to tank armor, while a single rocket volley takes out a tank in just two hits. For 2-player co-op runs, assign one player to the sniper leader and the other to the shotgun specialist: the sniper can take out long-range enemy turrets and rocket troopers from cover, while the shotgun specialist clears close-quarter infantry swarms and breaches barricades quickly. If you encounter the common mission 9 freeze glitch, simply press the start button twice to open and close the pause menu, which resets your unit position and fixes the error 90% of the time. To unlock the unused hidden full squad invincibility buff, destroy the unmarked yellow crate hidden behind the third barricade in mission 5: this buff lasts for 30 seconds, letting you push through heavily fortified enemy lines without taking any dam
