Start with mastering Black Widow’s core dual-joystick control scheme first: use the left joystick to move your black widow spider across the hexagonal web, and the right joystick to aim and fire your web shots in any direction, independent of your movement. The first priority for new players is to eliminate high-risk targets before they spiral out of control: egg-laying parasites will drop eggs across the web that hatch into swarms of tiny spiderlings in seconds, so always target these parasites and their unhatched eggs before dealing with less urgent enemies like slow-moving mosquitoes. Aggressive wasps will actively chase your position across the web, so keep them in your line of fire at all times and avoid letting them corner you against the edge of the play area. Armored beetles are only vulnerable to shots to their soft underbellies, so circle around them instead of wasting shots on their hard upper shells to take them down quickly. To maximize your score, chain kills of the same enemy type to unlock combo multipliers that can double or triple your point earnings, and always grab golden bonus insects when they spawn for an instant 5,000 point reward. If you’re playing in two-player co-op mode, split the web into designated zones to cover more ground and avoid crossing fire lines, which can waste shots and leave gaps in your defense. For later levels where enemy spawn rates spike, stick to the outer edges of the web instead of venturing into the center, which will limit the number of directions enemies can attack you from and make it easier to manage incoming swarms.
