Bee Storm - DoDonPachi II (V100, Korea)

Released in 2001 by South Korean arcade publisher Eolith in close collaboration with Japanese bullet hell pioneer Cave, Bee Storm - DoDonPachi II (V100, Korea) is the official second mainline entry in the genre-defining DoDonPachi scrolling shooter franchise, and this V100 build marks the very first public release version launched exclusively for Korean arcade cabinets. Building on the breakneck difficulty and signature dense bullet patterns that made the 1997 original DoDonPachi a global arcade hit, this Korean regional edition introduces minor difficulty tuning to suit local player preferences, slightly reducing early-stage bullet density while retaining the full core gameplay loop that fans of the series love. Players can choose from three distinct fighter craft, each with unique shot patterns, movement speeds, and laser attack properties: the fast, narrow-shot Type A for precision play, the balanced Type B with wide spread fire, and the slow, heavy-hitting Type C with homing auxili

Game Guide

Mastering Bee Storm - DoDonPachi II (V100, Korea) requires a mix of consistent pattern recognition, smart resource management, and controlled, precise movement to survive its hundreds of on-screen projectiles. First, pick the right ship for your skill level: new players should start with Type B, which offers balanced movement speed and a wide spread shot that makes clearing waves of small enemies far easier, while advanced players chasing high scores should opt for Type A, whose narrow focused fire and high speed let you take down bosses faster and maintain combos more efficiently across stages. Next, prioritize maintaining your combo meter above all else for high scores: the meter at the top of the screen depletes slowly after every kill, so plan your route through each stage to hit clusters of enemies in sequence instead of skipping sections, as a broken combo can cost you millions of points in potential payouts. Use your bombs strategically, not just as a last resort: this Korean V100 build gives bombs a 20% larger blast radius than later regional releases, so trigger a bomb immediately if you get trapped in a bullet cluster instead of risking a life, as losing a life will cut your current combo entirely and halve your ship’s firepower, setting you back far more than wasting a single bomb. For boss fights, take time to memorize phase-specific attack patterns: every boss has 3 to 5 distinct attack phases with completely predictable bullet paths, so even if you die multiple times during a first run, note the gaps between bullet streams to make your next attempt far smoother. Keep an eye out for hidden golden enemy spawns: a rare golden fighter appears behind the cloud cover in the middle of Stage 3, and another spawns behind the left-side skyscraper at the start of Stage 5, each rewarding you with a 1,000,000 point bonus if you destroy them before they escape. If you are chasing a spot on the global leaderboard, avoid using continues entirely, as any continue will
