First, get familiar with the basic arcade control scheme: When on offense as the batting team, use the 8-way joystick to adjust your batting angle and height, press the A button for a full power swing ideal for hitting home runs or extra-base hits, and press the B button for a short bunt to advance runners on base during close, low-scoring games. When playing defense, use the joystick to move your active fielder, press the A button to pass the ball to the base you point the joystick toward, and press the B button to dive or jump for hard-to-catch fly balls and grounders. For new players, start with the pre-built American Dreams or Power Kings teams: both have top-tier batting power and high-speed starting pitchers that give you more room for error as you learn the mechanics. When pitching, mix up your throw types to keep batters off guard: push the joystick up for a fast straight fastball, pull it down for a slow looping curveball, and tilt left or right for sharp breaking sliders. Avoid throwing the same pitch type 3 times in a row, as the AI will quickly learn to hit it consistently.
