Master the jetpack controls first to succeed in Baraduke: unlike most side-scrolling shooters of its era, Baraduke uses a constant gravity system that pulls your character downward at all times. Short, controlled taps of the jetpack button are far more effective than holding it down, as long presses will send you flying into ceiling spikes or unexpected enemy patrols. Your jetpack fuel regenerates automatically after a few seconds of not using it, so don’t be afraid to use it sparingly to dodge incoming projectile attacks. Second, prioritize eliminating Octy enemies the second you spot them: these pink, octopus-like creatures lay eggs that hatch into swarms of tiny, fast-moving Paccet aliens if left unattended, which can quickly overwhelm you even with upgraded weapons. Third, keep an eye out for hidden power-up capsules scattered across each maze: shooting them unlocks upgrades like spread shot, faster laser fire, and extra health that make later levels far easier to beat. Fourth, when fighting boss enemies, always target their glowing weak points instead of wasting ammo on their armored bodies. For example, the first giant worm boss can only be damaged by hitting the glowing orange core on its head, which is only exposed when it rears up to attack. Finally, don’t skip rescuing trapped human colonists: each rescued colonist gives you 1000 points, and every 10,000 points earns you an extra life, which is critical for beating the later, more difficult levels with increased enemy spawn rates and anti-gravity zones that flip your movement controls.
