Mastering Arcadia (NMK) is all about balancing aggression, resource management, and pattern recognition, and these tips will help you beat the Xenoth fleet and climb the global leaderboard. First, familiarize yourself with the core controls: use the 8-way joystick to move your fighter across the screen, the primary fire button to shoot your main weapon, and the secondary button to deploy a screen-clearing bomb, which you only get 3 of per life, so use them sparingly. For early levels (1-3), prioritize collecting main cannon power-ups dropped by medium-sized enemy fighters before grabbing secondary weapons: a level 3 spread shot will clear waves of small enemy craft far faster than early tracking missiles, and will let you build combo multipliers by taking out groups of enemies in quick succession. When you reach the end of level 2, you will encounter a friendly supply craft that drops a full health refill and an extra bomb: make sure to grab this before moving to the level 2 boss, as it will give you a critical buffer for the fight ahead. The level 2 boss, a heavy Xenoth battle cruiser, only takes damage to its front-facing cannon port, so avoid wasting shots on its armored hull: wait for it to pause before firing its main laser, then unload all your fire on the port to take it down in under 15 seconds. For mid-to-late game levels (4-7), you will encounter homing missile enemies that track your movement: avoid erratic, large movements, as this will make the missiles harder to dodge. Instead, make small, gradual adjustments to your position, which will let you outrun the missiles without putting yourself in the path of other enemy fire. All boss fights in Arcadia follow a 3-phase attack cycle: standard spread fire, homing missiles, and full screen barrages. During the full screen barrage phase, position yourself in the far bottom-left or bottom-right corner of the screen, as these are the only safe spots that avoid all incoming fire.
