First, pick your character based on your playstyle: Ripley has a faster movement speed and slightly faster fire rate for her default pulse rifle, making her ideal for players who prefer dodging swarms of smaller enemies, while Hicks has higher base health and deals 10% more damage with heavy weapons, making him a better pick for new players or those who want to focus on boss fights. For Stage 1, keep an eye on the upper and lower corners of the screen at all times: facehuggers will leap out of vent grates without warning, and a single hit from a facehugger will drain half your health bar instantly. Save your smart gun ammo (the yellow pickup) for the end of Stage 1, where you’ll face a pack of 8 Xenomorph drones at once: the smart gun’s auto-targeting will take them down in seconds without you having to aim around the environmental debris in the room. When you reach the ventilation shaft stage (Stage 3), avoid standing still for more than two seconds at a time: chestbursters will spawn directly under your feet if you stay in one spot too long, and they can hit you even if you’re mid-jump. When you get the Power Loader pickup in Stage 5, don’t waste its limited ammo on small drones: save all 25 of its rocket rounds for the Queen boss fight at the end of Stage 6, as each rocket deals 3x more damage to the Queen than your default pulse rifle. During the Queen fight, focus on dodging her tail swipes first: they cover 75% of the screen, and you can only avoid them by jumping to the opposite end of the platform you’re standing on. Once she stops attacking to lay eggs, that’s your window to unload all your heavy ammo into her head, which is her only weak point. If you run out of heavy ammo, use your grenade launcher pickups (the red orbs) rather than your default rifle: each grenade deals 2x more damage, and there are two hidden grenade pickups in the left and right corners of the Queen’s chamber that spawn halfway through the fight, so be sure to grab them before you run
