Mastering Aliens (Asia)’s arcade gameplay is easy to pick up but hard to perfect, with these tips to help you survive your run through the LV-426 colony. First, familiarize yourself with the core controls: use the 8-way joystick to move your character, the first button to fire your equipped weapon, and the second button to jump. Your default infinite-ammo pistol is weak but reliable for taking out lone Xenomorph drones and stray Facehuggers in early levels, so save your limited heavy weapon ammo (pulse rifle, flamethrower, rocket launcher) for large enemy swarms, armored Xenomorph Warriors, and boss fights. Always keep an eye out for destructible environmental objects: red explosive barrels placed throughout levels can be shot to wipe out entire groups of enemies in one hit, while cracked wall panels and hidden crates often contain health pickups, extra ammo, and rare temporary power-ups like invincibility. If you are playing in 2-player co-op mode, split responsibilities to avoid getting overwhelmed: assign one player to clear low-to-the-ground enemies like crawling Facehuggers and Chestbursters, while the other focuses on airborne drones and enemies approaching from higher platforms. For the ventilation shaft level (Level 2), Xenomorphs spawn from both ends of the screen constantly, so avoid standing in the middle of the corridor at all times: stick to one edge, clear enemies in front of you, and advance slowly to avoid being flanked. In the nuclear reactor level (Level 6), watch out for acid-filled floor gaps that take 30% of your health if you fall in, so time jumps carefully and don’t rush for exposed ammo over pools. For the final Xenomorph Queen fight, stay out of her direct line of sight to avoid her long-range tail stinger, circle to her sides to target her head weak point, and hide behind metal crates when she sprays acid. Save all your rocket ammo for this fight, as 12 to 15 direct hits will take her down for good.
