Mastering Air Assault (World) is all about smart resource management, strategic positioning, and memorizing enemy attack patterns to maximize your score and clear all 8 stages without running out of continues. First, familiarize yourself with the core control scheme: your primary fire button activates your current main weapon, the second button switches between spread shot and piercing laser, and the third button triggers your smart bomb. For early stages 1 through 3, stick to the spread shot 70% of the time, as you’ll be facing swarms of small enemy helicopters, drone fighters, and ground turrets that are far easier to clear with wide area damage. Switch to the piercing laser only when you encounter armored ground tanks, shielded enemy aircraft, or mid-stage minibosses, as it deals 3x more damage to heavily armored targets than the spread shot. Always prioritize collecting the power-up orbs dropped by special colored enemy craft: red orbs upgrade your main weapon damage up to 3 levels, blue orbs add two side turret drones that fire alongside your main weapon, and green orbs give you an extra smart bomb, which you should never waste unless you are completely surrounded by projectiles with no clear escape path.
