If you're new to Action Fighter or looking to beat your previous high score, these tips will help you master this classic arcade title, especially with this version's responsive analog controls. First, take full advantage of the analog controls: unlike digital controls that only let you move in 8 fixed directions, analog support lets you make tiny adjustments to your position when dodging enemy fire and road hazards. Avoid mashing or pushing the stick all the way to the edge during light enemy encounters; small, smooth movements will keep you out of danger far more effectively, and help you conserve space to maneuver during intense boss fights. Next, plan your upgrade path wisely: you'll start on a motorcycle, which is nimble but has low health and weak firepower. Save your first set of coins from defeated enemies to upgrade to the armored sports car as soon as possible. The car offers far more health and stronger firepower, making it much easier to get through the opening land-based stages without dying. For enemy encounters, focus fire on weak points: most enemy vehicles take significantly less damage if you hit their body, so aim for the driver cabin or tire on land vehicles, the cockpit on enemy aircraft, and the gun emplacements on larger enemy ships to take them out in one or two shots, saving ammo and reducing your risk of taking damage. During boss battles, always clear out smaller supporting enemies first before focusing fire on the boss's weak point. For example, the opening stage truck boss has two side cannons that can easily overwhelm you if left alive; take them out first, then circle the boss and hit the cabin to take it down quickly. Finally, don't waste health or power-up pickups: if you're at full health, leave the health pickup on the map until you take damage, so you don't waste the extra healing that could save you later in a tough stage.
