Start with mastering the GBA control scheme first, as it’s key to surviving intense dogfights: use the D-pad to maneuver your fighter, the A button to fire your primary laser cannons, the B button to launch homing missiles or secondary weapons, and the L and R shoulder buttons to make fine adjustments to your targeting and speed. For new players, prioritize completing all training missions first, as they teach critical positioning and targeting skills that will carry you through the entire campaign. Early in the game, save your mission rewards to upgrade your ship’s shields and engine speed before investing in heavier firepower: better mobility and durability will keep you alive through more encounters than extra damage alone. When fighting enemy Nephilim fighters, avoid close-range prolonged dogfights: hang back at medium range, lock on with missiles to take out faster targets, and use your cannons to finish off damaged opponents. For boss battles against large Nephilim capital ships, focus your fire on the exposed engine cores on the rear of the ship, as these are the weakest points and deal the most damage when destroyed. Always complete optional side missions whenever they become available: these give you extra credits to unlock top-tier weapons and ships like the powerful Avenger heavy fighter far earlier in the campaign. Remember to manually save your progress after every completed mission at the Confederation hangar, as the game does not feature automatic save checkpoints mid-campaign. Finally, adjust your power allocation between systems between encounters: shift extra power to shields and engines during combat, and reallocate power to your long-range radar during reconnaissance missions to spot enemy targets faster.
