Game Guide

Mastering Super Dodge Ball Advance starts with learning core mechanics and smart team strategy, even if you're new to the franchise. First, get comfortable with the basic controls: use the directional pad to move your active player across the court, press the A button to throw the dodgeball, and the B button to jump over incoming throws. One of the most underrated beginner tips is mastering the catch: time a press of A right before an incoming ball hits you to catch it and instantly turn the attack back on your opponents. For team selection, new players should start with the USA national team, which has well-balanced stats across all players that make it easy to learn the ropes without major weaknesses. If you prefer aggressive play, opt for the Russian team, which has high-power throwers that can knock out opponents in one hit from mid-range. For faster, hit-and-run style play, the Japanese team's superior speed makes it easy to dodge and flank opponents. In single-player World Championship mode, prioritize upgrading your team's speed and throwing power early on, as these stats give you the biggest advantage in early matches. Save stamina upgrades for later when opponents start dealing more damage. For multiplayer matches, use fake-out throws to trick opponents: tap A halfway, then change direction before releasing the throw to make your opponent jump early, leaving them open to a direct hit. Always keep at least one healthy player in the back half of your court to retrieve stray balls and counterattack quickly, avoiding putting all your players near the opponent's goal where you can get caught out. If a player is low on health, keep them on the back line to avoid giving the opponent an easy knockout.
