SpongeBob SquarePants - Battle for Bikini Bottom (USA)

To make the most of your adventure through Bikini Bottom and collect every hidden item, start by mastering each character’s unique core abilities. SpongeBob is your default character for most platforming sections: his Bubble Spin attack can clear groups of small robots and cut through dense jellyfish bushes, while his Bubble Bomb ability breaks cracked stone walls and takes out larger robotic foes. Always keep an eye out for faint, glowing stone walls—these can only be broken with Bubble Bombs, and almost all hide a hidden Golden Spatula or stash of shiny collectibles. Patrick Star is your brute force character: he can lift and throw large stone crates to trigger distant switches and reach high platforms that SpongeBob can’t jump to. His ground body slam also breaks weak floor panels, revealing underground secret areas in almost every level. When you control Sandy Cheeks, her main utility is her lasso, which lets her swing across wide gaps that no other character can cross. Use her karate kick for high damage during boss fights to end encounters much faster. For progression, remember that Golden Spatulas unlock all new level areas, and you need to collect shiny orbs to pay Mr. Krabs for access to new regions. Break every crate, defeat every robot, and explore all off-the-beaten-path paths to collect enough orbs early. For the final boss fight against Plankton’s giant robot, target the glowing red joints on each limb first, then switch to Sandy to deal rapid damage to the exposed core once all joints are destroyed. If you’re playing on original GBA hardware, note that save points only register after you complete a full level, so don’t turn off your console mid-level to avoid losing progress.
