Whether you’re a returning fan or playing Power Rangers: Dino Thunder for the first time, these tips will help you take down Mesogog and his army of mutant drones. First, master character selection to match your playstyle: Red Ranger Conner McKnight has fast, close-quarters melee attacks that are perfect for clearing groups of weak drones, while Blue Ranger Kira Ford has long-range energy blasts that let you take out enemies from a safe distance, making her ideal for tricky platforming sections with long gaps and hidden enemies. Yellow/White Ranger Trent Mercer, the former villain turned ally, has the highest damage output of any core ranger, making him the best choice for tough boss battles. Always explore every corner of each level: breakable crates and hidden upper platforms hide health pickups, extra lives, and Dino orbs that charge your ultimate Zord attack. Don’t skip these collectibles, as a full ultimate charge is critical for defeating the final boss. When fighting groups of enemies, don’t spam your basic attack: learn the dodge roll mechanic, which lets you avoid lunging attacks and get behind enemies for critical damage hits. For Zord boss battles, hold the block button when the boss charges to cut incoming damage in half, then counter immediately after their attack lands when they are briefly stunned. For the mid-game boss Zeltron, target his glowing chest weak spot with Trent’s axe attacks to stun him in three hits, cutting the fight length in half. For the final battle against Mesogog’s giant mutated form, never waste your charged ultimate attack on smaller enemies earlier in the level – save it to land the finishing blow when Mesogog’s health drops low.
