Mastering Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee on GBA starts with getting comfortable with character switching and learning how to best use each hero's unique skills. On GBA controls, the Select button swaps between Abe and Munch instantly, so don't hesitate to switch mid-puzzle to get the right tool for the job. Abe's core skill is possession: sneak up on unalerted enemies while crouching to avoid detection, then activate his power to take control of their bodies. Use possession to open locked gates, trigger hard-to-reach switches, or take out enemy guards without putting Abe in danger. Remember that possession drains Abe's energy, so release it as soon as you've completed your objective to avoid running out of stamina. For Munch, his sonic zapper is your go-to tool: it can disable security drones, break open crates, destroy weak walls, and take out enemies from a distance. Munch can also swim through deep water that Abe can't cross, so any flooded section of a level will require you to switch to him to progress. When collecting collectibles, always explore every off-the-beaten path: most Gabbiar eggs and Mudokon tokens are hidden in secret rooms triggered by shooting suspicious wall panels with Munch's zapper. To unlock the game's true ending, you need to collect at least 200 of the 300 total Mudokon tokens scattered across all stages, so don't rush through levels. For the final factory boss fight, alternate between characters: use Abe to possess the boss's guard bots to damage his control platform's shields, then switch to Munch to destroy the core generator once the shields drop. Stealth is almost always better than open combat: saving your health for boss encounters will make late-game sections much easier to complete.
