Metroid Fusion (Europe) (EnFrDeEsIt)

Released in November 2002 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance (GBA), Metroid Fusion (Europe multi-language version, supporting English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian) is a landmark entry in the beloved Metroid franchise that refined the metroidvania formula for handheld audiences. Developed by Nintendo R&D1, this title picks up immediately after the events of Super Metroid, following intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran after a mission to the planet SR388. After she is infected by the parasitic X organism, a dangerous shapeshifting lifeform, Samus is saved only by an emergency vaccine made from DNA of the Metroids, the extinct species that once preyed on X. The vaccine fuses Metroid DNA with Samus’ body and Power Suit, giving her new abilities but also making her a target for the Galactic Federation and the evolving X parasites. Set aboard the isolated B.S.L. Research Station orbiting SR388, players explore a sprawling, interconnected map filled with hidden rooms, ability upg

Game Guide

Start your Metroid Fusion adventure by familiarizing yourself with Samus’ GBA-optimized controls: the A button for jumping, B for firing your arm cannon, and L/R for diagonal aiming, a critical tool for hitting enemies outside your direct line of fire. Always stop to use every save station you find while exploring new sectors; they refill your energy and missiles, plus save your progress, which is essential for this non-linear adventure. X parasites are your primary threat early on: minor X drop health or ammunition when defeated, while larger Core X grant you new permanent abilities once beaten, so always chase any X that flees after you destroy its host. For your first major boss, Arachnus, stay mobile, dodge rolling attacks by jumping over the boss, then fire missiles at its back when it stops to attack. Always save at the station just outside the boss door to avoid losing progress. After unlocking new abilities like Morph Ball, Bombs, and the Varia Suit, backtrack to earlier sectors to access hidden paths you couldn’t open before, which almost always hold valuable Energy Tanks or Missile Expansions that make late-game fights much easier. When you encounter SA-X, the powerful X clone of Samus that hunts you throughout the station, don’t fight it early on — just run and hide, as you won’t be strong enough to defeat it until the final act. For the final SA-X battle, use a Power Bomb to break its armor when it charges, then target its core with missiles for a quick win. Always check your map regularly; the B.S.L. station is fully interconnected, so any locked door you can’t open now will become accessible once you unlock a new ability in another sector. This European multi-language release lets you set your preferred language from the start menu, so adjust your setting before diving in for the best experience.
