Medabots - Rokusho (Europe)

Medabots - Rokusho (Europe) is a classic turn-based role-playing game released for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by Natsume and developed by Delta Entertainment based on the popular Japanese Medabots (Medarot) anime and manga franchise. This European localized version brings the iconic split-version Medabots experience to GBA players across the region, following the story of a young Medabot trainer who partners with the titular Rokusho, a powerful beetle-type Medabot, to compete in the World Robattle Tournament and uncover the sinister plot of the villainous Rubberobo Gang, who are stealing Medabots from trainers across the country. Unlike the counterpart Kabuto version, Rokusho version features exclusive Medabot parts, enemies, and story beats that cannot be found in the other release, giving players a unique single-player experience tailored to fans of the slower, more strategic playstyle Rokusho offers. The core gameplay loop combines open-world exploration, NPC interactio

Game Guide

If you are new to Medabots - Rokusho (Europe) or looking to beat tough late-game bosses and collect all exclusive parts, follow these key tips to master your robattle experience. First, start by leaning into Rokusho’s natural strengths: Rokusho is a balanced beetle-type Medabot with naturally higher defense and long-range projectile capabilities, compared to the aggressive melee-focused Kabuto counterpart. Prioritize upgrading your leg parts early in the game: faster movement lets you position Rokusho on high-ground terrain, which grants a 20% defense boost that can carry you through the first half of the main story. Next, understand the core battle system rules: each Medabot has five destructible parts (head, torso, left arm, right arm, legs) – if your head part is destroyed, you lose the battle automatically. Always equip a head part with high HP and defense, even if it means sacrificing a small amount of attack power. For early game grinding, head to the Route 3 grasslands after your first tournament win to battle low-level trainers, which lets you collect common silver parts to sell for MedaPoints, which you can use to buy rare exclusive Rokusho parts from the in-game shop. When facing the Rubberobo Gang mid-game bosses, use long-range arm parts to pick off their support Medabots before targeting the boss’s head, as most gang bosses rely on minions to heal and buff themselves. For endgame, don’t forget to unlock the hidden part location in the abandoned power plant: you can find the Rokusho-exclusive Golden Beetle Head part there, which has double the HP of any other head part in the game and makes the final tournament a breeze. You can also trade parts with other players who have Medabots: Kabuto (Europe) to unlock parts exclusive to the other version and complete your full collection.
