First, focus on balanced stat growth in the early game. When you first unlock stat upgrades after winning your initial matches, resist the urge to pour all points into speed or attack power. A ratio of 2 points to speed and 1 point to attack power for your first 5 upgrades will let you outspeed most early opponents while still dealing enough damage to end matches quickly. Speed determines how often your angel can act in battle, so it’s always a valuable stat, but ignoring attack will leave you dragging out matches against tankier opponents later on. Next, prioritize collecting unique parts from defeated competitors. Every named rival you beat in a tournament drops an exclusive custom part that boosts a specific stat or grants a passive bonus. For example, beating Kaede Saitou’s angel Blanche unlocks a high-defense torso part that will help you survive heavy hits from power-focused angels in regional tournaments. Don’t skip side content, either: between main tournament matches, explore the Tokyo hub area and talk to every NPC you encounter. Many NPCs will trigger short side quests that reward you with rare accessory parts and extra experience, which give you a major edge before the national tournament. For battle strategy, always time your special moves properly. Don’t waste your charged special attack as soon as it’s ready. Save it to finish off low-health opponents, especially in tournament brackets where you don’t recover health between matches. For the final battle against the powerful champion Athena, swap your build to 3 points speed and 2 points sync, and remember to hold the L button to dodge Athena’s big special attack when she starts charging it. Timing your dodge correctly will reduce incoming damage by over 70% and let you outlast her to claim the national championship.
