Danny Phantom - The Ultimate Enemy (USA)

Released in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance by publisher THQ, *Danny Phantom: The Ultimate Enemy (USA)* is a licensed action-platformer based on the beloved Nickelodeon animated series of the same name, adapting the iconic third-season finale into a polished portable adventure that stays true to the original story’s mix of humor, heart, and supernatural action. The game follows 14-year-old half-ghost hero Danny Fenton, who races to stop a catastrophic alternate timeline after a silly mistake — cheating on his ghost-hunting midterm — creates a dark future where Danny loses his loved ones and becomes the ruthless, power-mad villain Dark Danny, the ultimate enemy the title references. Unlike many rushed cartoon tie-in games of the early 2000s, this GBA release developed by Altron prioritizes creative use of Danny’s signature powers and faithful character writing over just leaning on brand recognition. Players toggle between Danny’s human form, ideal for stealth and interacting with human-wo

Game Guide

Mastering *Danny Phantom: The Ultimate Enemy* on GBA starts with learning efficient form toggling, as each form has unique advantages that you will need to progress through every stage. First, always conserve your ecto-energy: human Danny can jump, interact with switches, and navigate tight stealth areas without draining your power meter, which only depletes while you are in ghost form. If your meter runs empty, you will automatically revert to human form and be left vulnerable until it recharges slowly, so avoid staying in ghost form when you do not need it for puzzles or combat. For the early opening levels set in Amity Park High School, use the overshadowing ability unlocked after the first two levels to possess the custodian robot and trigger large locked doors that you cannot open as Danny. When you reach the Ghost Zone levels, remember that you can use intangibility to phase through moving spike traps and temporarily disappearing floating platforms — time your ability activation to pass through obstacles without taking unnecessary damage. For platforming sections, note that ghost Danny can perform a double jump by activating his ghost glow mid-jump, which is essential to reaching high ledges and avoiding bottomless pits in later stages. For common enemies, use quick ecto-blasts to take out flying threats like ghost vultures before they can hit you, and punch weaker ground enemies in human form to save ghost energy for bigger fights. For key boss fights, follow these core tips: against Skulker, dodge his missile barrages by phasing through the floor, then blast his core when he pauses to reload. Against Ember McLain, destroy her speaker amplifiers first to reduce her damage output, then target her directly when she is stunned. For the final fight against Dark Danny, he has three phases: dodge his large energy blasts in the first phase, then counter when he pauses after a combo. In the second phase, target only the glowing clone to avoid wasting shots on decoys.
