First, master the core rotation mechanic: each falling set of three gems can be rotated repeatedly to shift the position of your target color. Always plan one move ahead instead of rushing to drop gems—this will help you avoid creating dead gaps at the bottom of your playfield that you can’t clear later. In story mode, your primary goal is to clear more gems than your AI opponent to fill your crown meter, so focus on creating large combo matches instead of small single clears. Combos happen when multiple matches clear in one drop, which send extra garbage blocks to your opponent’s board and fill your meter much faster. The special crown gems that appear randomly are your biggest asset: matching a crown gem with two other same-color gems clears all gems of that color from the entire board, which can turn the tide of a competitive match instantly. Keep an eye out for these crown gems and prioritize setting up a match for them whenever they appear. For endless score attack mode, the key is to keep your playfield as low as possible. Avoid stacking gems too high on any one side of the board, and leave open vertical channels to let new gems fall through to create matches at the bottom. If you get stuck with a bad gem set, don’t panic—use rotation to tuck the unmatched gem into a small gap instead of dropping it in an open space that blocks future matches. For puzzle mode, always start by clearing matches at the bottom of the pre-set board first, as this opens up space to shift upper gems into position for the required final matches. If you’re playing local multiplayer against a friend, save your crown gem matches for when your board is getting too full, or when your opponent is close to filling their crown meter, to disrupt their progress and secure a win.
