Aladdin (USA) (EnFrDeEs)

Released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) by Disney Interactive Studios, Aladdin (USA) (EnFrDeEs) is the official North American multi-language release of the classic platformer adapted from Disney’s hit 1992 animated feature film of the same name. This build includes full support for English, French, German, and Spanish, making it accessible to players across multiple regions right on Nintendo’s iconic handheld. The game follows Aladdin, a quick-witted street thief, as he battles the evil sorcerer Jafar to save Princess Jasmine and the kingdom of Agrabah, all while uncovering the power of the magical Genie hiding inside the Cave of Wonders. Unlike earlier 16-bit versions of Aladdin, this GBA port is optimized for handheld play, with refined sprite graphics that take advantage of the GBA’s color palette, remastered chiptune versions of the film’s iconic musical tracks, and added minor puzzle elements to refresh the core experience. Game Guide

Mastering Aladdin for GBA starts with getting comfortable with the core controls: use the directional pad to move, press A to jump, B to throw apples (your primary attack), and hold down to crouch past enemy projectiles and access narrow passages. For your first run through the opening Agrabah Streets level, don’t rush to collect every visible coin — many coins are placed near ledge traps or hidden guard archers, so take time to scan each screen before moving forward. When facing the first level boss, the Royal Guard Captain, dodge his melee swings by jumping over him, then land three well-timed apple throws to his head to defeat him quickly. The Cave of Wonders level is the first major difficulty spike: watch out for quicksand pits that will drag you down in 3 seconds if you don’t jump out, and time your jumps across moving rock platforms to avoid falling. Look out for four hidden Magic Lamp fragments scattered across this level; collecting all four unlocks infinite apple ammo for the rest of your playthrough, a huge advantage for harder boss fights. In the Desert Crossing level, constant wind from sandstorms will push you backward, so keep moving steadily right and don’t stop for long — scorpion enemies can be taken out with a single apple throw or a well-timed jump on their back. For the final boss fight against Jafar, you’ll face two phases: in the first, Jafar takes the form of a giant snake — dodge his lunges, then throw apples at his head between attacks. In the second phase, giant Jafar’s weak point is his glowing eye — wait for him to lower his head after a fireball attack, then unload your apples on his eye to beat him in five hits. Don’t forget to check any glowing walls you find in levels: throw three apples at them to open hidden chests with extra lives or health refills.
